Information and Updates

I have been writing a personal story on and off for almost two years. The first few chapters came easily, but now I keep getting stuck. I know what happens next, yet I cannot seem to turn the ideas into proper pages. Someone suggested that I hire a ghostwriter. Has anyone done this with a personal project? How did you make sure the writer understood your voice? I am interested in hearing how involved people stayed and whether the final story still felt like something they created.
