The word Ayurveda is composed of Ayur = life and Veda = knowledge and therefore translates as "the knowledge of life".
Ayurvedic massage
Ayurvedic massages have a very positive effect on your nervous system and bring body and mind into balance.
The beneficial Ayurvedic massages are performed with a high-quality, warm herbal oil that is individually tailored to you.
Except for the Garshana massage, which is performed with a silk glove.
Abhyanga – full body massage with warm oil – is the queen of oil massages; regenerating, relaxing and detoxifying, it nourishes the skin and joints.
Pristabhyanga – a back massage with warm oil – loosens the muscles, relieving tension in the neck, shoulders, and lumbar spine. It also strengthens muscle tissue.
Garshana – a full-body massage with silk gloves. It stimulates metabolism and lymphatic flow, increases the release of endorphins, and firms the skin. A great support for weight loss or detox, especially in spring and autumn.
Kalari – dynamic full body massage with warm oil.
Relieves tension, shortening and blockages, invigorating and refreshing.
Padabhyanga – foot and leg massage has a very calming and grounding effect, releases tension from the body, promotes sleep, ideal for inner restlessness and restless thoughts.
Mukabhyanga & Padabhyanga – The enveloping head and face massage combined with a relaxing foot massage complement each other and have a balancing effect.
